POM EMBOSSER DIE MATERIAL
POM Embosser Die Material for CO₂ Laser Processing
XLH Laser supplies gold-colored POM (polyoxymethylene) sheet material for producing matched male and female embosser dies with a CO₂ laser.
The standard sheet size is 210 × 170 mm, with 1.7 mm and 2.0 mm thickness options for different embosser configurations.
The material is used as part of a complete production workflow covering laser processing, die alignment, installation and final embossing verification.

MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS
POM Sheet Size & Thickness Options

1.7 mm POM
Actual measured thickness: 1.70 mm.
The 1.7 mm sheet is commonly used in XLH Laser handheld embosser production workflows. Final material selection should match the actual embosser and die configuration.

2.0 mm POM
Actual measured thickness: 2.00 mm.
The 2.0 mm option is available for embosser configurations where a thicker POM die material is preferred.
MATERIAL → FINISHED DIE
From POM Sheet to Finished Embosser Dies
A short visual path shows how the sheet material moves through laser processing and becomes a matched die set.

Material
210 × 170 mm POM sheets prepared for embosser die production.

Laser Processing
The POM sheet is digitally engraved and cut using the CO₂ laser workflow.

Processed Sheet
Multiple die components can be processed from the standard sheet format depending on die size and artwork.

Finished Die Sets
The processed components become matched male and female die sets ready for alignment and assembly.
PAIRED DIE SYSTEM
Made for Matched Male and Female Embosser Dies
An embosser uses a matched male and female die pair. The POM material is processed as part of this paired-die workflow rather than as a single engraved plate.
Different die formats can be produced according to the embosser design and customer artwork.

Male Die
42 mm Male POM Die

Female Die
42 mm Female POM Die

PRACTICAL ALIGNMENT
Designed for Practical Die Alignment
A reference notch can be included in the die outline during digital preparation and cutting.
The matching notch provides a simple visual reference for aligning the male and female dies before installation.
For artwork preparation, matched-die geometry and detail-control guidance, see the Embosser Die Design Guide.
APPLICATION RESULT
From Die Material to a Working Embosser

Installed Die Set
After alignment, the matched POM dies are installed into the embosser hardware.

Finished Embossing Result
The final test is the embossed result itself. XLH Laser evaluates the material as part of the complete path from raw sheet to finished impression.
WORKFLOW VALUE
Why Material Selection Matters
Consistent Sheet Format
210 × 170 mm standard format simplifies material handling and production layout.
Matched Die Production
The material is used for both components of the male and female die pair.
Digital Customization
New customer artwork can be transferred into the production workflow without conventional tooling for every design.
Final Application Focus
Material selection is evaluated together with die design, alignment, embosser hardware and the finished impression.
